Scott Hansen Prints

A few weeks ago I had come across Scott Hansen’s blog, http://blog.iso5050.com, which I immediately recognized as being right up my alley in terms of design aesthetic. I loved the retro-futuristic set of Soviet cosmonaut prints, the vintage brochures, and the overall sense of style. Luckily for us, he also has a bunch of original work up there, available as prints, t-shirts, etc. Karen and I decided on three…
We’ve developed a habit of trying to get a piece of artwork from places that we travel to. As you can see, this is a depiction of the corn cob towers in Chicago (where we went for our anniversary in September).
This one reminded us slightly of Maine (where we went this summer) and my mom pointed out that the bear is also representative of my partially Russian heritage.
The last one was not about a destination but felt more evocative of the friends one has in one’s life.
Here are a few shots of what they look like in our living room:
I highly recommend you go check out Scott’s blog as well as his work.

“Corn Cob Tower”? Psst, the locals call it “Marina City”.
