Holiday Cocktails

Date December 10, 2007 by alex

Karen and I had a few people over last weekend for some holiday cocktails. We picked up bunch of things from fresh direct, Karen baked some cookies, I made some mulled cider and we were on our way.

Snowman in the fireplace

Over the summer I picked up a Lite-Brite at a local stoop sale. What better way to bust it out by setting up this little fella in our fireplace since it was unseasonably hot this weekend.

PIBs, etc.

Our snacks, courtesy of FD were roasting away in the oven.

The spread

The rest of the spread can be found here. Cheese, sopressata, olives, spring rolls, cookies, crudite (a word you can never sound cool saying) and other assorted goods.

The Crowd

We fit more people in our living room than I imagined we could.

Outside in the back

The backyard was no problem.

Getting a S'more in there

We got the fire pit that Sara and Katie got us for our wedding (thanks, guys!) going and roasted up some s’mores. Apparently I had no idea how to make s’mores and got accused of making “open-faced” s’mores since I neglected to use the second graham cracker. Whatevs.

Happy Holidays!

Someone defaced the snowman

Also, by the end of the night, our dear snowman was defaced. I love our friends.

Check out all the photos here.
