The final week of the Mets season

TOAD: Sept. 25th, 2007: A little while ago Daya invited us all out to Shea to catch the Mets and the Nationals the last week of the season. Unfortunately for the Mets, the game didn’t go so well and proved to be a harbinger for the week to come. On a side note, we were treated to a bonus as Mr. Manlio was in town for a few days so getting to hang out with him at the game was a great plus. I can’t believe I don’t have one photo of that dude for this post. Trust me, he was there. Great to see you, Manlio!
Despite their troubles at home against the Nationals, their beer bottles remain pretty cool.

The giant neon players really reminds me of driving out to my grandparents’ house when I was little and seeing them from the Grand Central Parkway.
