The gosh darn sidewalk got me good

TOAD: August 3rd, 2007: Karen and I met up with some members of the Human Hair Happy Hour at The Gate to welcome Matt back from his long vacation. Karen and I had boldly gone for a post-work run in sweltering temperatures and what better way to celebrate that than with some frosty beers in the cool A/C? We grabbed a booth inside talked about baseball, weddings, The Wire (because Matt was there) and planned to maybe have a Wire watching fest once Season 4 comes out on DVD in early Fall though I fear Matt will probably make us break into discussion groups after every episode.
On the walk home we passed under a large tree that obscured the busted sidewalk underfoot and my poor, flip flop-wearing foot smacked into the cement head-on, resulting in this pretty thing you see before you. Thanks to the recently-consumed beers, the pain was softened a bit. After borrowing a garden hose to cleaned it out, Karen and I limped home where she called upon her surgical skills and fixed me up right.
