It’s the Jon and Holice Weekend

My friend Jon from college and his fiancé, Holice, are in town for the weekend from Atlanta. I lived with them for a few months when I was in grad school (along with my brother and Chieko) and they would make delicious dinners for themselves and then always make me an extra plate and put it in the fridge for when I got home late from class. They would also always make sure to use turkey bacon instead of real bacon, which just makes them about the best roommates ever. Now I don’t have such weird hang ups about pork and eat regular bacon, but that’s not really the point, just a factoid about me.
Anyway, getting back to the point of this post, Jon and Holice are here from Atlanta, and we have a jam packed weekend of events. Last night we went to see Andrew Bird at Webster Hall with Sara. The show was great and Webster Hall was better than I expected. Here is a camera phone photo from the show:
Tonight Jon, Holice, Rob, Marisa and I are meeting up for some dinner at Otto and then drinks somewhere in town. Tomorrow everyone is off to see the Ricky Gervais show at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. Alex couldn’t be more excited for this show.
In between these various events, we’ll be fixing up the blog—you may have noticed it looks a bit different today, we’re still trying to iron out the kinks with our old code and recent software upgrades. Stay tuned for a new and improved teamkanestreet.com!
