Settings

Alex bought me a sweet new camera for my birthday, so I spent a good part of Friday walking around our neighborhood enjoying the beautiful weather and grabbing some photos while trying to learn how to properly use the camera and settings. I am sad to admit I learned very little in my required photography class in college because I was so concerned with wasting film, so I am back to learning this stuff all over again. Here are a few from my stroll with Sasha in Park Slope.
You can find more here.
Saturday I travelled out to Long Island for my friend Michelle’s bridal shower. Instead of taking my compact digicam, I showed up looking like a paparazzi with the new giant camera. Click, click, click! You can see the photos from the shower here.
As you can tell, I still have much to learn when it comes to the settings. Strangely, when I look at the display the pictures look much lighter than when I upload them to my computer or flickr, so I tend to make them darker than the moments actually appear.
