All the weight on Carl’s frail shoulders
April 6, 2007 by alex
TOAD: April 2nd, 2007: One of my favorite days of the year: Opening Day. This year’s Yankee team is ripe with questions - mostly related to their starting pitching. It’s my feeling that if they can just stay healthy (they don’t even have to be great), the offense and bullpen will take care of the rest. The healthy part has proven to be tough the past few years, hence the photo above with Mr. Carl Pavano pitching Opening Day. Yes, the same Carl Pavano who didn’t pitch once in 2006. We’ll all be willing to forget the past two years if he can prove reliable this year, especially while Chien-Ming Wang is on the shelf.
