Watch Your Balls!! comes out of the gate strong

TOAD: February 5th, 2007: Last night marked the kickoff of the Winter Season of bocce at Floyd and Watch Your Balls!! (Karen, Sara, Daya, Matt and Kevin) was ready to roll, trying to right the wrongs from the playoffs last season.
We kicked off this season against New Kids on the Bocc - a team we had never played and who turned out to be super nice. Happy to have them join the Monday schedule. The game turned out to be a real nail biter with us dropping the first game after being up 5-3 when Karen and I coughed up the deadly 4-pointer to give them the win. The second game, Matt/Daya and Sara and a fresh-out-of-his-rental-car Kevin did what Watch Your Balls!! does best and delivered a few kissed nugs and a solid victory. The match was now tied at one game a piece as we headed in to the rubber game. After going up early we slowly let them back in and I was luckily able to seal the deal on a shot that looked like it had gone wrong but the invisible hand of the bocce gods led it back to the path of righteousness around their balls and close to the pallino for the 2 points and the victory. Hopefully we can carry this momentum into our match next week when we take on…
Boccelism - the prohibitive favorite, both in their bocce playing, as well as most likely to be written about in the bathrooms at Floyd. According to those walls, the men of Boccelism both “have small penis’[sic]” and “are virgins” so its clear we have our work cut out for us. Until next week!
