February is create-a-thing-a-day month!

Over the last few weeks the ITP Alumni list has been fluttering on about February being create-a-thing-a-day month. Apparently one of Ze Frank’s classes did it last year at this time and everyone was raving about what a great experience they had with the project.
So, I think I am going to give it a try. Starting tomorrow, February 1, I am going to create one thing a day. Sure, I probably create something new once a day due to nature of my job, but that stuff is for work. I think this project requires creating something for me, or for the good of something you don’t get paid to make.
If you are interested in taking part, Mouna Andraos, ITP alum and all-around superstar, has posted the details for participation here. I like the reason’s listed why you should join:
* This is your chance to get your creative energy going and challenge yourself to make something out of all these ideas in your head
* Anything to make February go faster is good
* You know you always wanted to do it and never had the courage to commit
* You’ll get peer support maybe, an audience surely
* You can give up on all of your other new years resolutions after that
* Ze Frank did it for a year
I’ll post my theme for this first week tomorrow. Let me know if you think you’ll join in the create-a-thing-a-day fun. I would love to see everyone’s work.
