Any other princesses need saving?

TOAD: January 25th, 2007: Last night I achieved one of my greater gaming accomplishments of all time: beating The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess, for the Nintendo Wii. What an exceptionally satisfying game it was, too.

As I no longer have too much time to play games, completing a game has become quite a rarity (the last two I can think of that really comelled me to keep coming back till the end were God of War and Prince of Persia) especially for games in the Action/Role Playing Game genere since they’re so dammned involved and demand so much of your time. There’s a very long list of games I got super excited for and then ultimately put down for good because they didn’t have that “thing” to pull you back. Twilight Princess has it in spades and really goes to show you that people can posture all they want about tech specs and graphics but ultimately storytelling and gameplay are what keep people coming back. The graphics are nothing to turn your nose up at either.

Without a doubt, if you have a Wii, give this game a chance (it’s slow for the first hour or so but keep going. don’t be disheartened by the fishing sequence) and if you don’t have a Wii, this game definitely will justify the purchase.

Right here is a photo of Ganon getting served at the end of my adventures. Check out the Wii’s sensor bar working its magic at the top of the screen.

ps: this game is also going to make Alex’s All Star Products list. it’s that good.
